Li Po's Great Hunt Rhapsody
Li Po is one of China's greatest poets. He is known for his romantic, mystical themes and original, somewhat eccentric style. I have translated one of his lesser known works, The Great Hunt Rhapsody. The Great Hunt Rhapsody describes a mythical Imperial hunting expedition. The poem is quite long, and due to the graphic nature of the hunting activities described, may not be suitable for anyone who is a member of People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or similar animal rights organizations.
